The poor partridge gets squeezed out of his little pear tree and surrounded by all these noisy activities. He puts his hands over his ears and is exhausted. We feel so sorry for him and my sensory child relates so well... so then we read the book backwards one last time (reading only the line pertinent for the picture). Doing this allows us to say goodbye to all the unwelcome guests and put the partridge back happy in the pear tree.
